WELCOME. DECLARATION OF INTEREST. NEW
CODE OF CONDUCT. MINUTES
OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ROADS
- The Chairman reported that she has again exchanged emails with Cllr Mr B Few
Brown, County Councillor Mrs P West about the state of the Quarley Parish roads.
Some of the pot holes have been repaired, markings have been put on the road
highlighting the repairs needed. However there is still a great deal to do. The
Parish Council still felt that the state of the roads in the parish are a
disgrace, it was suggested that the Clerk write to H.C.C. to ask for all the
correspondence on this issue under the freedom of information act. AFTER
NOTE. WAR
MEMORIAL - The Clerk reported that the Parish Council had not been successful in
their application for a grant to refurbish the War Memorial. The Parish Council
can apply again in the future. VILLAGE
DESIGN STATEMENT - Mr Richard Whiting reported that he has looked at the
Thruxton Village Design Statement and suggested that Quarley follow a similar
format. This was discussed and it was agreed that a questionnaire will be sent
out to the village to gauge views and to ask for anyone who would be interested
in helping. PLANNING The
Parish Council discussed and agreed to support a Planning Application for a
proposed temporary dwelling at the Mullenscote Dog Training Centre, Quarley.
This application is in the Amport Parish. A
recent planning application for a grain store at Home Farm has been passed with
conditions by the planners. The Parish Council had NO OBJECTIONS to this
planning application. POLICE
REPORT. PCSO
Trowbridge reported that during the last 90 days there was only one reported
crime in Quarley, an incident of anti social behaviour. Heating Oil and tack
thefts are on the increase in the area and he asked residents to be on their
guard and make sure outbuildings and oil tanks are secure. PCSO
Trowbridge was asked if the travellers are still in the area? PCSO Trowbridge
reported that they were last seen heading Romsey way. PCSO
Trowbridge was informed about the recent Quad Bike events being held in Bush
Lane, this has occurred 4 times. Residents are concerned about the noise coming
from the event and the speed vehicles going to the event travel along Bush Lane
and through the village. PCSO
stated that he will take a look when he is on duty and urged residents to call
101 with their concerns when an event is in progress, all calls are logged and
the police will investigate. Noise problems should be reported to the
Environmental Department at TVBC who operate a 24 hour call out service. Cllr
Mr M Venables stated that he could see difficulty getting the complaint on the
noise to be enforced as Thruxton Race Circuit is a neighbour with a higher level
of noise. PCSO
Trowbridge stated that he will arrange for the occasional speed check to be held
in the Parish. FINANCIAL
