Quarley Parish Council Minutes - 19th December 2017

Minutes of the Quarley Parish Council Meeting held on Tuesday 19th December 2017 at Quarley Village Hall at 7.30 pm.

WELCOME.
The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.   

DECLARATION OF INTEREST
Cllr Mrs J Ferguson declared an interest in Quarley Church.
   

MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING.
The Chairman signed the minutes of the previous meeting as a true record. Matters arising from those minutes: - 

HIGHWAYS –The Chairman stated that she has reported the various potholes in the parish on the HCC Portal. Some of the residents have cut their overgrown hedges. The Chairman will take photographs of a gully that is proud of the road to send to County Councillor Mrs Z Brooks with a request that a kerb is installed. 

SOLAR FARM – The Clerk reported that the Parish Council Solicitor has suggested a slight re-wording of the Solar farm financial Agreement. The agreement has been sent back to the Solar Farm Company to be changed. 

ETWALL SIGN – Cllr Mrs A Thorne reported that the Etwall Sign has still not been replaced. The Clerk will contact TVBC again. 

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
There has been an increase in thefts from outbuildings in the area 

PLANNING
There were no new planning applications.

PARISH COUNCILLORS REPORTS
CLLR MR R WHITING –Reported that he has been investigating the provision of Broadband in the village and spoke at length on his findings. BT cannot confirm when Quarley will receive faster broadband. Cllr Mr R Whiting will continue dialog with both HCC and BT to get this issue resolved.
