Visitor to Middlecot

Today, 20 August, we saw a White Stork wandering  slowly across a stubble field between Middlecot and Quarley Hill. We checked with the Rare Breeds Farm at Cholderton, but they did not know of any in this area (but suggested somebody may be expecting something!). Possibly it is a rare visitor from Holland or Germany ?

Has anybody else seen the stork, or even lost it ?
